New Years Day 2012

I have a theme for 2012. I’ve never assigned a theme to a year before but maybe it’s time.

My theme for 2012 is BELIEVE.

Grab onto the optimism of youth when everything was possible.

Throw out the cynicism of age that comes from seeing so many failed attempts and crumbled dreams fall along the path of life.

Let those experiences go. Take the lessons learned and be thankful for the wisdom gained no matter how painful.

Celebrate the resilience of the human spirit. Recognize that the journey is not done. There’s still more ahead and with strength and perseverance there’s still time to reach your dream.

If you Believe you can, you will. So just…BELIEVE.

  1. Happy New Year Dusty. This is a good one. One year for Christmas our youngest daughter gave us small notebooks that she had made for each of us. The purpose was to make an entry each night with the words “I Believe. . . . ” Example, “I believe. . . you should treat each other fairly.” or if something you saw or did sparked a new desire, it could be from that. “I believe. . .next time I will help that person in need.” She had a good idea there, writing out what we believe or should believe has helped me have a more firm foundation, cause sometimes we can forget. Have fun with this.

That’s such a nice idea. I have an old fashioned diary too. I note ideas and thoughts in it and use it to inspire some of my posts here. I like the idea of an “I believe ” entry. I will have to make it part of my 2012 plan!…Happy New Year

I believe you have hit upon a terrific theme. What one believes in can become a reality. Thanks for the post and idea!

  3. I have high expectations for 2012 and I do believe!

Happy New Year. I don’t know why I feel so good about 2012…but I really do. And I believe I can reach my goals this year! Same for you too 🙂
