Christmas decorations already?

What happened to Thanksgiving? Wasn’t Halloween only last week? The candy is still on sale!

I drove by the Taunton Green and they are stringing the Christmas lights already.  Since Taunton is known as The Christmas City the display each year is quite elaborate so I’ll give them a little slack.

However I ran into Walmart to pick up a few things and there by the door was a fully decorated Christmas Tree! Inside the store you could shop to the tune of Jingle Bell Rock.

Maybe it was the early snow storm that swept through New England but I still think the Christmas trees and decorations should go up the day after Thanksgiving….one holiday at a time!

Of course  if retailers must get ready for the season before Thanksgiving, could’t we have a week or two after Halloween to finish eating our candy before we start to think of cookies and milk for the Jolly Old Elf?

Merry Thanksmas everyone. Have a Bootiful day 🙂

It is called GREED! They want every one to start thinking Christmas and buy from them early. If you work in retail, summer clothes start coming through the door in Jan and Feb. Who in there right mind thinks of shorts in Jan. in the north east. NOT ME. I do agree with you about NO Thanksgiving in the stores.

It is disturbing! CVS had clearance of Halloween candy right next to incoming Christmas decorations and sugar cookie mixes and peppermint hard candies!! STOP THE INSANITY!
I am NOT ready to think about Christmas but thanks to these retailers and tv ads my kids are already telling me what they want for Christmas presents. I swear I just got back to school sneakers and clothing and winter jackets!! Let me enjoy my pumpkin spice lattes at least until
the end of THIS month. DD is replacing pumpkin coffee with mocha mint NOW! Come ON!!

yes. I see it in all the stores. Halloween clearance and Christmas stuff righ next to it. Can’t they have the clearance for a week first? I feel like I have some kind of time warp sock or something.

Just heard the first Christmas song on the radio! No wonder people are tired of hearing holiday music before the actual holiday!
